The vest I was dyeing was made from polyester fabric and decorated with beads. Since the originally white vest was no longer worn, I decided to dye it with plants to create something new and exciting from it. Of course, the difference between synthetic and natural fabrics is that the former don’t take dye as well. The garment was left to soak in the dye pot for two days, and the materials used for the dyeing were only onion skins and a can of macroflex. I was actually surprised that even the beads got a new subtle colour.
